Sony DSC-T70

I bought this new Sony camera DSC-T70. Apparently Fry's has a good deal for it. My DSC-P10 need to be retired due to slack of it's battery, disability of steady shoot, plus the long flash which quite makes me annoyed :)

I have to admit that I'm a fanboy of Sony. No matter how good of Lumix's review is, I'm still fall in love with this cool touch screen Sony T70.

The main reason why I chose T70 is because of the quick and easy in opening the lens; unlike my P10, it needs 10 seconds to turn on the power and open the lens. P10 doesnt have ability of steady shoot. Smile shutter and face detector really works on T70, even though I can survive without this two function, but still it's really cool :)

The other thing I like about T70, that is.. it has short distance focus/macro (0-8cm), unlike P10 only has general 8cm focus/macro.
T70 enable me to move the focus by moving/drag the focus on the touch screen, which is really quick and easy. I found T70 is really handy compared to non-touch screen digicam.


The above picture shows the result of using the short distance macro/focus. Where I can move the focus to "universal studios" word on the other mug. Where the other mug still blurry, even though the spiderman image is not really in the middle. My distance of taking this image is less than 8cm. (Normal focus/macro will make your picture really blurry when you shoot an image in less than 8cm distance).


Result of picture from T70 is always good and bright. Picks up a lot of details and colors.
P10 very friendly in daylight, but not in the night mode. But T70 very friendly in both mode.
I'm very satisfied in owning this camera. Light, slim, fancy look, with high tech-end.

The most important thing that really makes me satisfied with this T70, the beri beri beri steady shoot. I can take picture in the car while the car is driven and moving fast. Can take a picture in 0.18 second. And the result is always clear, not blurry at all.

T70 comes in few colors, as far as I remember it comes in silver, white, pink and black.
